Formentera Hot Spots

Since you already know that I’m in love with the spanish islands Formentera and Ibiza, becuase of their easy life style- I’m now presenting you some of my favourite places there. Of course nothing beats Formenteras clear, blue sea, wherever on this island you are- still- have a look at my top beaches. Hotels, restaurants and shoopimg streets are the other categories I’m going to rate for you.

MolÌ de Sal:
I love MolÌ de Sal, but you have to reserve a table before coming or wait at least 30 minutes for a table as this restaurant is very busy!
On the other hand, I recommend to wait before being seated, because this way you can enjoy the best Gin Tonics of the island!

La Brasa:
This charming little Restaurant in Ibiza is just adorable. It is located in a backyard in the old town of Eivissa. We discovered it by coincidence and it was love at first sight. I recommend going there in the evening for dinner and try their delicious Paella.

Piratabus:
The small Bar is a Formentera icon, best time to go there is around 7pm to enjoy the sundown while having some good sundowners.

Blue Bar:
This is a tip especially for families as the Blue Bar is known for their „alien showì, an attraction not only but especially for kids. I love the Thai Cuisine over there!

El Chiringuito:
This beachclub is so me, the all white interior is just a photo-dream-come-true. Not only is it the perfect setting for photo shoots but the food and relaxed atmosphere is just ideal for a city-escape!

Cap de Barberia:
This rustical Finca was our Home for two weeks this year. We found it through airbnb and were more than overwhelmed when we realized that the reality was even better than the pictures. We had our own pool, barbecue corner, three bedrooms and lots of little roommates – salamanders! These are the symbol of Fomentera-Emoticon.

Tiburon:
The Tiburon is an establishment which is THE hot spot in Formentera for all jetsetters as they come with their boats for a quick lunch or dinner. Although it now is so popular it’s still a magical place with an indescribable sundowner and atmosphere. Additionally, it is the only place on the island where you can eat a German ÑCurry Wurstì. Thank you Arnold for lots of great evenings in more than 7 years.

Cana Pepa:
When it comes to off-beach locations Cana Pepa is my favorite restaurant. It’s located in the middle of San Frances, the capital of Formentera on a little sweet plaza. It’s also great for children, they can run around and play together on the square in front of the restaurant as there are no cars or other source of irritation. I recommend the fish of the day – it’s the best!
