Marrakech Tips

The first time I went to Marrakesh was in March. Believe me, I fell in love with this magical place once I set foot in it. I was lucky enough to return so quickly, but I also had the chance to go with my dear friend Delia Fischer, founder of “Westwing“. We went together because we were creating a short film about our personal Marrakesh hotspots.

In this little documentary, we will show you our favorite places and spaces, such as the most beautiful roof top restaurants (click here to check out “Nomad“!), busy markets and the YSL garden. Obviously these are very cliché attractions although they are worth the hype. But we also had the chance to see a very modern part of Marrakesh, the district “Sidi Ghadem“. This quarter could be compared to the New Yorker “Meatpacking District“, there are people and shops you would never believe to be in a country like Morocco. If you are interested, you should have a look at “Galerie POP“ or the “Tresor des Nomades“, which is my favorite shop in the souks.

Just like last time, we stayed in the iconic “Hotel La Mamounia“. There, I always feel like I am in another world, in terms of architecture but also regarding service, they make every wish come true. I can also recommend the classic “Jardin des Orangers“, a restaurant that serves delicious traditional Moroccan dishes in a romantic atmosphere.

Very soon, you will be able to check out our trip on Pro7 RED!, but also be sure to look at more of my Marrakesh tips here!
