One day in paris with Chanel

It’s always special to make a trip to Paris, but when Chanel is your host, it’s not only special but a real experience. I was invited to celebrate the big launch of the new fragrance “Gabrielle Chanel” and to attend the Haute Couture Show for the very first time.
I think it’s every womens dream to make an experience like this, so it was mine too, and it didn’t fail my expectations. The morning before the show, we headed over to the Grand Palais and found a breathtaking scenery, such as a re-built from the Eiffel Tower, right in the middle of the location. They even put sand, old leafs and little plants and lookalike chairs inside the stage to make it look and feel like the real Eiffel Tower Square. It was so interesting to watch all the fashion people arriving and taking their seats, I haven’t seen so many Chanel bags in one place ever and I want them all – haha.
When the show started, it was quite a challenge to watch, film, post, share and enjoy at the same time. It was a very typical chanel-look collection with lots of tweed and silk, I loved the matching hats and the new length of the classical little black jacket.
The highlight was, of course, seeing Karl Lagerfeld right after the Defilé…
I could not take the best pictures during the show, since I went live on Insta-
gram, but I figure, that you can have the best style overview here. →

After the show, we had the chance to visit Coco Chanel’s private apartment in Rue Canbon 31, Paris.
It remained like she left it after her death in 1971, but I must say, I had another vision of how this apartment would look like. I never expected chinese lacquer screens or gilded lions to be part of the interior.
All in all, I expected it to be much cleaner with lots of black and white, but instead, there were earth and terracotta colours. I liked the fact, that she collected little things, even without a high value. Her being very suspicious, she believed in the meaning and emotional values of her belongings.
Our guide told us, that nowadays a lot of times inspiration for collections and make-up series come from her apartment, such as the iconic black lacquered make-up cases, for example, as she preferred black lacquer tables, instead of marble ones. It was a real highlight to get so many insights from the world of Coco Chanel.

At night, we got ready for the launch party of the new fragrance “Gabrielle Chanel” at Palais de Tokyo.
First of all, we went through a sort of exhibition, where there were little hints to the new perfume and it’s origin, before seeing the bottle and smelling it for the first time later on. I couldn’t have imagined a cooler evening than this one, but to give you a better impression, you should watch this video, which says it all. (; Thank you Chanel for an unforgettable experience!
